Zimbabwean Asylum Seeker Assaulted

Peter Jackson Mode, the Zimbabwean asylum seeker, who is now in detention for entering Australia illegally has been assaulted by prison guards. He is in plaster with a broken leg after an incident at the notorious Baxter Detention Centre this week.

The South Australian police will view a video footage of the incident, as renewed calls are being made for a royal commission into immigration detention.
